In 2007 I turn 50 years old. A couple of years ago I got the idea that for my Big-Five-Oh I'd like to take some time off work and do a road trip to Alaska.
I have dreamed of doing a big road trip ever since reading John Steinbeck's wonderful book Travels with Charley.
Three of us are going on this great adventure: my husband Paul, our Golden Retriever Baxter, and myself (Andy). We will drive approximately 12,000 miles in 3 months (April, May and June 2007), stopping along the way to see sights, visit family and friends, and meet the great people of North America.
We will travel by RV (see the Planning Web Log for more information) and stay in campgrounds or at the homes of friends.
